Walker & Hall Boh Runga Earrings / SunGlass Hut Ray Ban Sunglasses/ Witchery Top & Jacket / Glassons Jeans / Scarpa Beau Coops Heels
Nailing that Summer ‘Smart Casual’ dress code is all down to mixing lux with less. There are certain pieces you know will stand the test of time, and it’s important to invest in good quality product. For me, this is often footwear, they can make or break an outfit and if uncomfortable can ruin a good time. I’ve had these Beau Coops for almost a month now and let me tell you, if slippers came with heels, they would feel like these.
On the other side, you don’t need to empty your wallet out on fancy denim, I found these ‘Mom’ jeans at Glassons, with a smart high waist and straight leg they’re a super cute option for a summer afternoon. They are actually very similar to a $400 pair I’ve tried, but these are 59.99! It pays to shop around and try things on! If they don’t fit perfectly, there are often the smallest adjustments you can make to give them the right look on your figure. For this pair, I made two tiny darts on the back waistband and wallah. Perfect 🙂
For the rest of the look, I wanted to find a top that looked elegant but not fussy. I found this dreamy top at Witchery, sporting a gorgeously thick sateen that sits on the body beautifully and picks up the light. Classy and effortless, this top certainly helps to elevate the whole look.
Which then brings me to eyewear, I think it’s a fabulous idea to have a ‘sunglass wardrobe,’ mixing and matching the colours and shapes BUT before that, It’s important to have every day, every occasion pair. Something you don’t need to think about, they suit you and have a high-quality lens. Easy. I’ve been eyeing up these Ray-Ban Hexigans for a while now, the lovely people at Sunglass Hut were very patient while I tried on half the store but kept coming back to them.
The moral of this story, splurge and save your way to the ultimate smart casual attire this spring/summer by exploring your options and investing wisely
