Balmy summer days are not quite here yet, but, they soon will be and with them the ever exciting wedding season!! With delicious canapes, fabulous wine and love in the air, weddings are the perfect occasion to dress up and celebrate. It’s important to pay attention to the location and vibe of the wedding and of course the unspoken rule of steering well clear of anything that could look remotely white. With this in mind, I often have my eye out for something that’s classic and pretty but with an unexpected twist. This look came together after I found a fabulous one-piece swimsuit/silk sarong set. How beautiful is the pattern!

I know swimwear wouldn’t usually be a go-to option for a wedding but with bodysuits making such a big comeback, a well-made one piece is totally doable. Especially when paired with a matching silk sarong, oh so glam!
Taking cues from the warm earthy tones, I went rose gold hunting and lucked out at Portmans with these statement earrings that also play on the swimsuit grid pattern, as well as these very shiny slacks (which I must add, are on sale right now). My next stop was Dune London with my fingers (and toes) crossed for Rose gold heels, and they didn’t disappoint. In fact, there were lots to choose from with, wait for it, matching clutches! There’s always a place in my heart for a bit of matchy-matchy.

To top off an outfit, remember to put some thought into the sunglasses, for weddings especially because you often spend the day out in the sun mingling. They can really make or break an outfit, and there are some killer frames out there, so plenty to choose from.
