A total magpie at heart, I’m always swooping onto the sparkly, and with the party season starting her engine, I thought it would be the perfect time to whip out the tan in a bottle and find the sparkliest skirt I could! Once the weather starts to warm up and daylight savings kicks in, there’s an energy in the air, hibernation is over and, well, that’s enough to get me excited anyway!
My face turned into a heart-eyed emoji when I found this stunner of a skirt in Cue. It’s amazing right!? With a high waisted A-line cut, it’s very flattering and long enough to be appropriate at a work function too. Pieces like these are a lot more versatile than one may think, a simple cami and stilettos would look incredible for a glamorous event, but you could pair with a printed blouse to keep it more on the cool and stylish vibe. I wanted to put a casual twist on it. I’m all about trying to work a bit of magic into my daily outfit, so this rose embroidered tee from Portmans had me, a classic white tee with a twist. Yes yes yes. It’s made from a thick sturdy cotton which allows it to hold a bit of structure too. Then I almost went for the white converse sneaker option but in the name of rise ‘n’ shine and because they were ridiculously comfy I went for these Dune booties.
