THINGS TO LOVE THIS WEEK
Fashionzz: VICE’S REVIEW OF NZFW
We cannot get over how great Annette Lamothe-Ramos‘s review of NZFW is. Refreshingly honest and funny she gives her views on the best and worst of the week – She particularly loved the Zambesi show – ‘Life changing’ she called it. Now thats high praise.
In the shops: SILKY SHORTS
LH at Area51, KW, Ruby, Huffer
We’ve been noticing many of these silky sensations hanging around the shops lately. Light and comfy, these shorts are going to be our best friends come summer.
Great reads: MORANTHOLOGY
Caitlin Moran – recently voted the 9th most powerful woman in the British media – is one of my favorite writers ever. Her new book Moranthology is sarcastic, witty and just generally hilarious. Here’s a little taster to convince you:
“Every time I smoked I passed out. I once got so stoned interviewing Radiohead that I had to be put to bed in the bass player’s spare bedroom. Except I was so stoned that I missed the door to the spare bedroom, kept walking up the stairs, and went and slept in the loft instead – where a wasps’ nest had been recently fumigated, and the floor was covered in crunchy, dead wasps.”
Best of the web: DATING TIPS FROM TV
Flavorwire created this compilation of sound dating advice taken from the many realistic and rational characters that live in our television. Here is a 5 star tip curtesy of Schmidt from New Girl – The moment a woman touches the phone, she loses her power. Unless she’s sexting, in which case she gains a half-power.
