T-shirt designs that should never have left the boardroom

We all love a fashion statement, but is it ok to voice a statement with fashion? After all, approximately 67% of the population will be looking at your chest anyway, why not utilise this prime real-estate with a personal and potentially offensive declaration of your social intelligence.

I’m sure we all remember the string of slogan t-shirts released by SUPRE in the early (and painful) 2000’s, including such brilliance as ‘I heart my boyfriend’ and ‘This is why I’m hot’. Although mildly embarrassing, these slogans were relatively innocent and only worn by tweens and mislead teenagers. Myself included.

Since then things haven’t become quite so innocent. A couple of wtf-worthy controversial t-shirts include Urban Outfitters ‘Eat Less’, and Teen Modeling’s  ‘Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’ which was modelled by children in their marketing campaign! Both shirts were eventually pulled from the collections after obvious scrutiny and public boycotting. Woops?

Check out these questionable t-shirt slogans that have somehow made it onto the shelves.
