On the night of September 26, 2012, Cloudy Bay launched their First of the Season Sauvignon Blanc 2012 at the Aroma Wine Garden at The Foodstore on the Auckland Viaduct.
To say the least, the sacred Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and classic, flavoursome and full, and, succulent and sophisticated. Embracing lifted notes of elderflower, green lime zest, and stone fruit, this Sauvignon Blanc will convert even those that aren’t the biggest of “Sav” fans.
Whilst the first Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2012 of the season will officially be on the market for purchase on October 1st, to allow the public to appreciate the scarce vintage, the Aroma Wine Garden will remain at The Foodstore for two weeks, from September 27th until October 11th, where those who visit will have the opportunity to revel in a glass of this special vintage, before anywhere else in the world. Food TV’s talented Mark Southon will be serving a First of the Season food pairing of crispy salmon belly with cucumber and wasabi mascarpone to accompany the bodacious beverage, available to purchase for $21.
“A lot of what we taste is actually due to smell,” Cloudy Bay’s Brand Manager, Rai Banbury, maintains, “The Cloudy Bay Aroma Wine Garden will help people truly savour the scarce Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2012 vintage, which has the potential to be one of the most exciting wines Cloudy Bay has produced over the last ten years.”
To celebrate this First of the Season and the beautiful Aroma Wine Garden at The Foodstore, we are giving away three double passes for some lucky winners to enjoy. To win, tell us the year Cloudy Bay Vineyards was established, and post your answer on our Facebook page. Please note that winners must be aged 18 or over.
