It’s smack bang right in the middle of a female cliché but I get rather excited when my love of fashion and champagne come together and they do so perfectly at the races (apparently there are some horses running as well).
So with race season kicking off, i’m keeping an eye out for outfits, one must be prepared or at least attemp to. Race day fashion is a dress code on its own, it’s classic, lady like day wear with modern tweaks, my favourite part being the matchy matchy nature of it all, it’s more than encouraged to match your gloves to your bag, hat and belt! But finding these matching pieces is rather tricky.
I’m a huge fan of NZ fashion but one thing we don’t seam to explore is the ‘everything goes with everything’ trend so, I went hunting online..
I have a favourite store in the UK called ‘& Other Stories’, which does a glorious job offering ready to wear pieces in perfectly matching colour ways but it has always been off limits because they don’t ship to NZ! So I’d create small wishlists, even though I knew I couldn’t get it here.. rather sad, I know.
But now we have a game changer (said as I fiendishly rub my palms together) NZ Post has set up a system called YouShop which acts as the middleman.
I recently snatched up these two pieces that paired perfectly to a baby pink dressed I already owned.
The store sends the order to a personalised UK ‘YouShop‘ address and then it’s sent straight on to you in NZ, they are happy to consolidate multiple parcels and also keep you up to date with how your package is tracking so the micro manager within can relax.
So what have we learnt here
