Karl Lagerfeld is playing director again and is scheduled to begin production on a short film to mark the centennial of Chanel’s first fashion boutique based in Deauville, France.
It will feature the House’s next cruise collection, debuting in May when Karl travels to Singapore for the collection’s launch.
Keira Knightley, who is the face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle perfume ad campaign, is to play the legendary designer Coco herself in the short film. Karl’s cast will also feature some of his favourite models Stella Tennant, Tallulah Harlech and Caroline De Maigret and of course Karl’s long time muse Brad Kroenig and his son Hudson will also be involved in production.
Stay tuned! The film and collection debut is sure to be an ultra-glamorous and wickedly romantic affair with Karl behind the reigns.
