The best dresses we have seen on the Spring ’14 runways so far and who should wear them on the Red Carpet.
To the Emmys and beyond…
Zooey Deschanel
Knowing Zooey and her penchant for the princess silhouette, she would have this lined with a million layers of tule. That would look fine but it would look even better if it was done with something light and floaty.
Also i’m digging the fro, she should do that too.
.
Claire Danes
Claire loves a simple strapless bodice and she’s not afraid of bold colours so I think she should/would rock this.
Imagine how sick this would look against the red carpet!
Gwyneth Paltrow
I reckon GOOP should just wear this entire look straight from the runway. It’s just so.. GOOP.
Unsure as to what you would do to remedy the boob situation however.
.
Michelle Dockery
Lady Mary doesn’t have the best red carpet track record which is a mystery to me because she’s about 6ft’ and very regal. How come she can’t get it right?
Anyway, I think this would look amazing on her. It needs height and poise to pull it of and she has both those things in spades.
(It also needs lining)
Anne Hathaway
This is my dream dress. I’d get married in it, i’d fly a plane in it, I’d do anything worth doing in it. Because I love it so it made me quite sad to admit that this would look great on Anne.
That bitch, ruining all my favourite things with her doe-eyed lovelyness.
.
Emilia Clarke
I’d say this was a dress worthy of the Dragon Queen.
Also does anyone else wish she had that ice-y blonde hair in real life?
.
Jennifer Lawrence
Lawrence would pull this off even better than the model is here. It should be styled exactly like it is on the runway although the shoes should be a different colour (I cannot stand that match-y match-y shit).
She has two options:
1. Blonde hair = This version of the dress/Burgundy shoes
2. Brown hair = Burnt orange-y red dress/Black shoes
You’re welcome J.Law.
.
Olivia Wilde
It’s probably a bit of a long shot to hope that Olivia will wear this but, you know, if you don’t ask you don’t get.
P.S I love this dress too, almost as much as the Hathaway one but I also love Olivia Wilde so it’s all fine.
.
Kristen Wiig
Well this is never going to happen but we can dream.
.
Sophia Vergara
Sophia always goes for these curve hugging fishtail dresses but I’m unsure if she has ever worn Zac Posen (which is weird because Zac is the king of curve hugging fishtail dresses).
Obviously she would look fantastic in this, the colour would be perfect with her skin and hair and the sleekness of it would be a nice departure from those sparkly pageant versions she seems partial too.
.
Angelina Jolie
So I am pretty sure this won’t happen either, mostly because Angelina is hardly ever on the red carpet these days (she has more important things to care about) but I really wish it would.
I mean, the DRAMA:
.
Well that was fun! I’m sure Milan and Paris will spit out a few more red carpet worthy dresses but in the mean time let’s see if anyone wears what I suggested to the Emmys this Sunday. (Pfffft).
