Want to know what you’ll be wearing next winter?
Check out thedownlow’s favorite trends from NZFW 2013
METALLIC
COOP, Charlie Brown, Trelise Cooper, Ruby
It’s time to get your shine on! Metallics are back in a big way for winter 2013.
A trend that is usually acquainted with ‘Futuristic’ was given a feminine spin this NZFW – Wear it head to toe like at Trelise or as a statement piece paired with killer heels for a night out.
To say you’ll be ‘eye-catching’ is an understatement.
Top-to-toe Print
Trelise Cooper, Juliette Hogan, Ruby, COOP, Huffer
It’s all over the international runways, been photographed by the best of the street style bloggers and now, it has arrived at NZFW – Obviously head to print is here to stay.
But we’re not complaining! Done well this look can be amazing.
Want to stand out? Choose loud, vibrant prints as seen at Trelise Cooper and COOP. A bit more of a wallflower? Go for muted, smaller scale prints a la Ruby and Juliette Hogan or, if you feel a like revisiting your primary school days, play with polkadots like at Huffer and Twenty Seven Names.
Will you dare to pair?
The Pant Suit
Zambesi. COOP, Trelise Cooper
PRADA PRADA PRADA is the first thing we thought of when we saw this trend at NZFW. Muccia Prada has long been fashion’s ultimate tastemaker. Her Fall RTW collection single handedly made the ‘Pant’ interesting again an idea that has, as usual, had a domino effect.
Seen at almost EVERY single NZFW show, the pant suit might be the strongest trend for the coming winter.
Block Colour
Juliette Hogan, taylor, SGC, Cybele, Company of Strangers
COLOUR!!!! FOR WINTER!!!!
We love this trend – block colour in soft, sheer fabrics, paired with a chunky black heel. Perfection.
There you have it, NZFW winter 2013 trend forecast – Which will you be wearing?
