The Counsellor
A lawyer finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking.
Director: Ridley Scott
Stars: Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz (?! I know), Javier Bardem.
Release Date: 14 November 2013
Thoughts: It makes me mad that Cameron Diaz is in this movie. Not because I dislike her but because my favourite person ever was going to be cast as Cameron’s character and she would have been SO MUCH BETTER. Other than that it looks like it’s going to be pretty great. Well worth the $17 ticket anyway.
.
American Hustle

Director: David O. Russell
Stars: Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro
Release Date: 25 December 2013
Thoughts: SEX, MONEY, DECEIT. YES.
.

A lonely writer develops an unlikely relationship with his newly-purchased operating system that’s designed to meet his every need.

Stars: Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson, Olivia WIlde

Thoughts: I think out of all of these films, besides Hustle of course, this is the one I am most eager to see. That little IMDb plot explanation above does nothing for it. Watch the trailer.
.

Thoughts: I’ll say it again, SEX, MONEY, DECEIT, these are a few of my favourite things (in a film). Also it’s based on a true story. Also, also Leonardo.
.
