Good News!
UBER has teamed up with The Down Low to give all new users their first ride on Uber free, up to $20 (valid until 31 Dec 2014).
If you haven’t heard of these guys yet, allow me. UBER is a smartphone app that you can use to book private drivers to pick you up in minutes. I’ve been using it for a few months now and love it. It’s cheaper, better and you can actually see how far away your driver is.. as well as the option to txt or call the driver on route to pick you up. Plus, because your credit card is in the system you can just jump out when you arrive at your destination, it’s fuss free. UBER is in over 170 cities around the world, including New York, London, Paris and now Auckland!

The process is simple:
1. Download the UBER app on an iPhone, Android or Windows device, and create an account.
2. Enter the promo code “THEDOWNLOW” when prompted (you can even do it right now and it’s locked in).
3. Check the ETA, ‘REQUEST’ when you need a car, and enjoy the ride!
