Would you, should you, could you

I have a love/hate relationship with tights. I love how they allow me to get away with wearing really short things and only shaving my legs once a month but I hate they make certain outfits look. I also have a love/hate relationship with sneakers, I have never been a fan of the whole Nike Free + non-sports clothing movement and I can’t stand those New Balance ones (#hipster/#normcore) but I appreciate their comfort and practicality.

So when I came across this article posted on Fashionista yesterday I was perturbed but also strangely curious. Would this be a good look? Could I wear black tights and white sneakers? Do I have sufficient styling chops too pull the look off in a cool, off-beat way or will I end up looking like a sad secretary who carries her heels in her handbag? Should I even bother trying?

My questions are many and my answers are few but I have come to the decision that I just might have to give it a go. I’ll let you know how it turns out, I know you are dying to find out.
