Midi length dresses and skirts are hardly a new thing, I am pretty sure they have been hanging around (literally. Har Har) fash-on for a while now. Since 2010 in fact. I am less sure about why it has taken me this long – 4 years – to appreciate them (although it may have something to do with the fact that they are called ‘Midi’ because that’s a fugged up word if I ever heard one).
They are very virtuous things midi (ew) skirts. They are comfortable: No awkward pulling down of skirt because you just might be (are) flashing the whole street. They hide yo thighs when you want them to be hidden (aka when they are pale and unwaxed). They make for maximum shoe appreciation, obviously a key factor. They are very ladylike – perfect Grandma/In-law/Future In-law pleasers. AND they make you look French, who doesn’t want to look French?
