The Golden Globes Red Carpet Round-Up Part 2
The first of the big awards shows has been and gone. The celebrities came, they saw, they were seen and now they will be judged:
The Nudes
Lea Michelle in Elie Saab
Elie Saab is one of our absolute favourite designers for the red carpet (or weddings – Blair Waldorf) and this dress is really reeeaaallly pretty. It’s so pretty that it makes us sad that Lea Michelle is wearing it. A dress like this should have had the pleasure of being worn by someone ethereally elegant like Kate Bosworth or Charlize Theron – but then again, anyone would have been better than the most irritating girl (woman?) on the planet.
Amanda Seyfried in Givenchy
The boob area of this dress worries us. It looks as if Amanda decided that her cleavage was looking a bit sad and so to remedy the problem she hoisted up the girls and secured them with a gold clip. Also, why did it have to be the exact same colour of her skin?
Her hair and make up is perfection though.
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
Jennifer is BACK and she is pulling this off like no one else ever could.
Anne Hathaway in Chanel
This was GREAT, possibly the best dressed of the night. Doesn’t she look just like a modern day Audrey Hepburn? We think so (massive compliment right there).
Aww and she was so sweet and sunny every time we saw her – it made us forget why we ever thought she was so annoying.
Megan Fox in Dolce and Gabanna
Strapless. fishtail. Nude.
Pretty but YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWN.
Hayden in Roberto Cavalli
See above.
Isla Fisher in Reem Acra
I wish Isla was smiling in this picture, the look she is wearing is reminiscent of the look Regina George gives Gretchen when she tries to make “Fetch” work.
We love the dress though, especially with Isla’s screen siren hair – The effect is very old hollywood glamour. Or it would have been if Isla wasn’t so ‘cute’ looking.
Emily Blunt in Michael Kors
Ok forget Anne Hathaway and her Chanel, Emily is DEFINITELY our best dressed of the night. This maybe the best thing she has ever worn at anytime, anywhere, ever in her entire life. The whole look is working perfectly; the dress, the coral accented jewellery, the hair, the face, even the clutch works (and we HATE a red carpet clutch).
We love you Emily.
Haley Berry in Atelier Versace
This is beyond cray. Every time we look at this we wonder what the HELL was going on in Haley’s head when she put this on that afternoon. CRAY.
Although, despite the madness of her outfit she still looks incredible. Look at that face! This woman does not age.
Julianne Hough in Monique Lhuillier
We can appreciate what Julianne was going for with this look but it didn’t really work out for her. Punk princess from the waist up, pile of gold flecked toilette paper from the waist down.
Sienna Miller in Erdem
Shit we forgot how beautiful Sienna Miller is, and how cool she is, and how much we want to be her friend.
Seriously though, there are not many people who could have worn flower adorned separates as well as this. We admit, as she did, that it is “rather out-there” but whatever, sometimes, like right now, out-there can be great.
Also if you look closely you can see that good old Sienna is wearing both her earrings in one ear. Long live Sienna.
