The 2013 Critics Choice Awards

written by lucyfreyakorn January 13, 2013

Here we have another Pre-Globes warm up: The 18th Annual Critics Choice Awards, which apparently has the honour of being sponsored by Skinnygirl Cocktails. Makes for a classy event for sure.

And now we judge:

Eva Longoria

Last week I wrote a post about which dresses I really wanted to see on the red carpet this season. While compiling said list I came across this dress. I thought about adding it to the list just for kicks because this dress I thought, would make the wearer look like a giant walking vagina.

Unfortunately Eva didn’t share my view.

Leslie Mann

I really wish this had continued on with the top bit. From the waist up it’s actually quite cute, from the waist down… Well it’s not great is it.

Amanda Seyfried

Oh how we wish Amanda’s dress did not have that terrible squid tail.

Jessica Chastain

This dress does nothing for her except make her look really short. It is ill fitting (IT DOES NOT TOUCH THE GROUND – a pet hate) and despite the hot colour is actually rather aging.

Such a shame because she is STUNNING:

See?

Marion Cotillard

We love this. Marion is one of the only people who has enough fashion chutzpah to pull this off (Diane Krugar would look awesome too). It’s so pretty, almost forest fairy-like AND LOOK AT THE BACK:

So good.

Naomi Watts

Sleek and classic (a look Naomi seems to be going for these days) if maybe a little boring. Granted she is gorgeous enough to carry the dress but we would love to see her in something a little edgier at the Globes…

Anne Hathaway

This is so nineties! We can totally see Dionne from Clueless wearing it, which is a huge compliment by the way.

Also Anne’s bod looks sick. Nice one girl.

Jennifer Lawrence

We are very glad Jennifer didn’t decide too continue with her disco era granny look from the Peoples Choice Awards. This dress makes her look like a gothic Jessica Rabbit which, again, is a huge compliment by the way.

Kinda wish it was sans train though.

Tomorrow is the Globes! 12pm E! Channel. Be there or read here.
