The Marr Factory Presents Karen Walker in Association with Black Magazine
Sunday night saw the first of four shows to be presented by Stephen Marr and Hallertau Beer at the always golden, Golden Dawn.
The Karen Walker bots started off the 4-night event with a bang, stomping their impeccably presented selves to down the chalk-drawn runway.
KW’s Summer 2012/13 collection, Sea Monsters – which is in stores and online now – is really quite brilliant. Inspired a curious mix of Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Victorian dress and Brian Jonestown, the collection unites what are (to us) un-relating topics in a way that only Karen Walker can.
Paisley prints made from tiny whales, soft as silk ruffles, bold patterns in bolder colours… Just. So. Good.
