Despite the weather coming down with torrential rain, local fashionistas are already excitedly looking forward to the first drop of Spring/Summer 2012-13 collections. In particular, one collection that is highly anticipated is RUBY‘s ‘Run, Run, Run‘.
Inspired by the chic Parisian aesthetic, talented RUBY designer, Deanna Didovich, has captured the essence of “youthfulness in a relaxed, effortless style.”
Featuring mega-babe and one of our favorite Kiwi models, Samantha Shorter (62 Models) – check out those pins! – the SS12 look book is beautifully styled with an air of modern vogue and versatility. Whilst comprising a fun and youthful palette of candy pink, lush lemon, striking cobalt blue, and bold burgundy, there is a pleasant balance with the evident play of the colour black throughout the range – the favorite hue of any Parisian.
From pretty peplums to prominent prints, alluring angora to appealing accessories (yellow and burgundy pony hair, hello!), sassy silks to scrumptious sateen, structured silhouettes to stylish studs, the collection is definitely an assortment of highly coveted ensembles. And with names like ‘Bon Bon’, and ‘Macaroon’, how can one resist?
